Char transfer

Just bought a new laptop and installed the latest D2 game. Now, how do i get the characters from my desktop to my laptop? Is there a way to transfer the characters from one to the other?

I don't think that there is, unless you can e-mail the files from one to the other..

im thinking this is sp? if so just copy/paste the character files onto a mp3 player/memory stick/other storage device, then copy/paste it into the D2 folder on the laptop. if its battle.net just log on as usual, the characters are stored on blizzards servers.

Is there a specific folder that info needs to go in? I did put the char info on a mem stick and then transfered it to the D2 save folder on the laptop and the chars were not listed in the char selection screen.

Just copy the entire 'Save' folder from the desktop and writeover the laptops 'Save' folder. This way you won't leave behind any files.

ok i tried that and they still dont show up. so far i have tried to xfer the entire save folder and the individual files. the files show up but the chars still dont.

Make sure you have the same versions loaded on both systems. If you have 1.11 on the desktop and 1.07 on the laptop, they wont recognize each other. Also, be sure that you have the same games loaded, ie: Classic, LoD.
