Good job as always. Will read thoroughly later.

Eh...I still would have liked to edit it into my full WW guide...especially since this one lists some combos I don't recommend and is missing ones I DO recommend.
Ah well...when I finish the newer guide, I'll have this one closed.
great guide Omni. too bad all that stuff is so expensive. well most of it anyway >_<

Yeah...it is sort of an endgame build. ._.;

Frater Perdurabo: For telling me the damage equation to explain to me why Grief did more damage than BotD.
Could you explain that? :)
Omnicide

Oh it was when I was new. I used to use Death/Beast on my barb for maximum CB and he mentioned Grief for more damage. I kinda just went "Why not BotD?" and he showed me the damage equation and how Grief really did turn out to be the highest pure damage one hand weapon.

And how is that?
I know grief does the most damage, ive tested it, but i never understood how, mind explaining?
:)

I have the equation in the guide.
Basically...Grief's damage doesn't range like most other runeword weapons, yielding more consistent damage.

Thanks, i dont know how i missed the giant
"The Damage Equation" Heading.

Man...even looking at how I explained that equation it's pretty bad. I could do so much better. Dx

I love this guide so much. And the thing I love about it even more is that I can afford most of this stuff on nl although some of it can be extremely expensive such as grief and forti althoguh thanks to our own N_V the grief is no longer a problem :p

Well I'm glad it helps you guys out. Can't wait to get the better version done and over with so I can trash this guide.

Well thought out and seems complete.
But Barbarians aren't my characters so I can't attempt to correct anything. I know you know what you are talking about so it doesn't even matter.
I have thought about a BvC because they seem like nice tanks but haven't got around to it. So that would have probably be my favourite part of the guide.
Well done.
Hotspurs are probably just as good as Infernostride if not a little better.

Heh yeah...it was a good guide for its time, but now I have better things so it seems horrible in my eyes compared to you guys.
BvCs are nice tanks for non-melee...but I'm one that likes to stack my res a LOT...so it was natural to me.
I thought people hated Hotspurs...nearly considered them BM...that's why I listed Infernostride...since they seemed more accepted among dueling.

Well, hotspurs are probably somewhat excessive but that won't stop people from using them. But they are a little better and not all absorb/stack is always BM so they seem useful to me.
Just pointing it out because wasn't sure if it was forgotten or maybe I guess you did it purposely.
Omnicide

Yeah...I left it out purposely because I heard lots of people hating on them...I thought maybe they crossed a line among normal sorbing, but I'll include those here/next guide.

Not so much a big deal if your in a pub duel anyway. Good vs the fire sorc, but useless against everything else in the room. Tri-res boots would be more usefull for overall res stack but try finding legit ones. I found some lowish 20-30 fire/cold/light with faster r/w but even still, against certain types they're useless too.

Yeah...I don't normally have res boots anymore...not until I can find a pair of my own, firsthand.
I still think Gores are pretty good vs most casters. Besides...there's no way you can fit every little item there into your stash. xD

I decided not to bring it back because the guide was so horrid, in my opinion. It didn't give specifics, gave a lot of gear but not what was more important to have. It's just missing a whole lot, to me.

herewith the best guide ever written for BvC's: Yuqings BvC guide (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=608622)
a BvA is a BvC with dex invested for max-block with SS. they do a little better against a bow'a'zon than a BvC, but both get owned by a proper BvB.

BvA = a bvb with enigma, beast, coa and some fcr gear in the stash, IMO.
Way to steal my link, sambo. :(.

err, actually, you'd be better off making a BvC with dex for max-block.
BvB's generally have only the base-point in Leap (spending points in shout and iron skin for defense is more useful in bvb), so chasing down sorc's & necs is a little difficult with such a small leap radius.
in all seriousness, i rekon BvA's just blow. better to build a BvC and accept that BvB's will ez you than to build a half-hearted character that will STILL get slaughtered by a proper BvB.
Way to steal my link, sambo. :(.
