I'm not sure what to think about it. It is certainly different from D2. My only complaint is that the skills on the right fail to show the description, due to it cutting off at the edge.

Well it is alot different from that of Diablo 2 thats for sure. But im not sure that is a bad thing really. It does look as the talent build-up in WoW, but I guess that was to be expected.
I kind of like it.

I just hope it wont be too much of a WoW look alike.

Yeah, that's completely Fan-Made and employs the WoW talent system, I'm fairly sure the real Diablo skill tree will not end up anywhere near close to that. actually that skill tree wouldn't be viable in a hack and slash...

As far as I know, they haven't released a lot of the WD's skills. Apparently in the playable demos only the Wizard and Barb have the extensive skill trees.

They said they were gonna make a D3 skills calc but when we get enough info only, because now it's kinda useless anyway since it keeps changing.

Agreed. But they probably aren't the only ones looking to make a calculator so...I'm not too worried over who makes it...just that there is one and it's accurate.

Imho i really don't think it's going to touch D2 in terms of gameplay value.

I personally value gameplay over graphics by a longshot. Doesn't matter how good it looks if it's boring as watching paint dry ^^

We can speculate all we want, but that's not going to tell how good the gameplay will be. From people that have done the demos...they're more than happy with them, so they must be on the right track.

I think the amount of change to what D2's known structure is what's spooking people.

At least they aren't going to synergies or that...and taking a closer look on skills to make sure they'll be useful.

I don't see a huge glaring problem gameplaywise. The core is essentially the same...just different methods of customization.

My only gripe is with the barb's fury. If it works like other games' fury systems it would mean that you're going to depend on normal attack or non-fury costing skills most of the time to do a couple fury based attacks. I'm not sure how they're planning to go about it, but if it's the same as other games...whirlwind will be purely a situational skill requiring the top fury level. This is speculation though, and until I can find anything involving the fury cost (or lack thereof) of each skill...I'll continue to just call it a gripe.

oooooooooo that death proof thing under battlemaster for the barb i would soo max that out for hardcore mode... you will basically never die....cause if you get that fatal blow and you come back.. im sure the first thing that comes to mind is use as many pots as you can and portal to town...

Couple flaws with that. Iirc it can only work once every three minutes and secondly they're making it so you can't spam pot usage. TPing would be alright as far as I see though.

Don't worry to much about this, like many others aid, this is a wow coppy cat. Blizzard would not use the same exact icons as the ones they have in wow...

For my part, i'll first have to find out if my comp can handle the game.

Then, i'll find out which class appeal to me the most, then i'll play the game alone throughout, find out of it, become somewhat familiar with it... Then i might join with others :)
