WW-Maul/Zerker

Table of Contents:
1.)Introduction
2.)Stats
3.)Skills
4.)Explanations
5.)Mercenary
6.)Conclusion

Introduction)
The Whirlwind-Maul/Zerker Barbarian is very destructive on bosses and PvP. against bosses you can whirlwind through there minions and once you reach the boss I recommend going Berserk on his ***. I have 2 Barbs one a regular WW Barb and I found that it need more; so I made this with a level 83 Barb and it pwns against everything except Pally’s (my personal weakness)

Stats)
Here are the Base Stats…

Strength (Base): 30
Dexterity (Base): 20
Vitality (Base): 25
Energy (Base): 10

Here’s what you’re aiming for…

Strength (Base): 235
Dexterity (Base): 75
Vitality (Base): 230
Energy (Base): 10

Skills)
Combat Skills:
Bash = 1
Leap = 1
Stun = 15
Concentrate = 20
Leap Attack = 1
Whirlwind = 20
Berserk = 20

Combat Masteries:
Mace Mastery = 20

Explanations)

Reason for No Energy = you probably all know the answer this but if you don’t I will explain. Energy does increase your mana, yes; but Barbarians don’t use that much mana. Their meant for strength.

Reason for Leveling Stun up to 15 = Simple; Because Stun Perquisites both Whirlwind and Berserk.

Reason for Maxing Concentrate = Just like Stun; it Perquisites both Whirlwind and Berserk.

Reason for Maxing Mace Mastery = because a Maul is considered a mace-class weapon.

Reason i don't have a Gear Section = Honestly i don't like builds that REQUIRE certain gear.

Mercenary)
Try to find an Ice Mercenary from Act 3. They Ice warrior freezes the enemy while you rush into battle to pwn.

Conclusions)
The WW-Maul/Barb is very destructive. You can destroy people by going wild or WW’ing their ***. This Build is great and will be very great for you. All the rest is pretty much self-explanatory. Feel free to make comments (good or bad).

P.S. Good Mauls are found http://www.maxfreak.com/diablo2/umaces.shtml

I know this is a short build but i put in the Critical sections.

Oh jeez...where to start...

No gear recommendations...at all. It's fine to not have a specific gear set...but giving someone what to look for helps a lot. Otherwise you'll get some idiot using gavel of pain and say your guide failed him. Trust me...I've had those times.

I'm guessing the high str stat is for the maul...I hope.

Stun is a prerequisite, not a synergy...but it doesn't help WW or Berzerk in ANY way. Same with Conc, if you plan to use Berzerk/WW as your main skills.

No BC, BO, Shout, Nat Res, Iron Skin, Inc Speed? Those are IMPERATIVE (sp) on a barb.

I...am nearly speechless...definitely needs work.

Well honestly, I like gear sections in guides. They kind of make the guide along with the skill placement.

Not everyone has to follow what you put exactly but it gives people an idea of what to strive for. Otherwise, you can just look at synergies and adjust skill points that way which is pretty easy.

Edit: I'm basically cross posting.

Don't make guides if you can't accept feedback.

Most just require more than what you've done.

Check the necro section for my guide to see what makes a good guide.

And to me...any barb that doesn't use those other skills I mentioned is a bad build. Especially if they neglect BC and BO.

I think of it as a nice thing to have. I mean I know people can come to their own conclusions, but guidance is good for those that can't.

For gear I would say (this is just to help out a little bit):

Weapon - Ebotdtm: Etheral Breath of the Dying Thunder Maul, very nice damage and speed.

Armor - Enigma; Nice strenght bonus, 5% life bonus, +2 to all skills, damage reduction, one of the best armor and cheapest on the game. A good armor also would be fortitude.

Helm - Arreat's face ber'd: What would you ask more for a baal helm? It has everything you ned.

Belt - Verdungo's: Nice vitality bonus, nice damage reduction and the best pvp belt you can get.

Gloves - Steelrends: Nice enchanted damage from the gloves and a little strenght bonus.

Boots - (Well you got a feew choices here) - Etheral treks, treks or gore riders. Etheral treks are the best because of the vitality and fhr bonus you get from them, that is what i personnaly think.

Rings - Raven frost with angelic amulet and ring - Huge AR bonus, you need at least 15k in pvp for you to hit at a nice %.

Charms - Annihilus, barb torch and mastery or combat gcs. Depends on what you need.

Thats how I can help for your build.
