Just noticed someone posting links to these and it shows some pretty nifty team up battles. Also, it seems that the slowing time dome skill the wizard has will slow the monsters as well as their attacks.

Yeah...I really don't like starting the game with casters...especially when there's a lot to the barb I have to learn.
But damn...just that time slow dealy seems like it could be put to some VERY good use.

Graphics and overview looks stunning. My comp won't be able to run that i can tell straight away ^^
I spotted skeleton archers =D That's a good sign, increases my hope for ranger\bow character comeback.
But what's really bugging me is that it looks way too easy xD

I don't recall anything in Act 1 Normal Mode D2 being half challenging, even on /players 8.

Well that and these are demos so who knows what's been manipulated in the program to make it easier to get through.

I'm really curious to see if there will be classes with healing spells or taunt abilities. Nearly all multiplayer situations in D2 boil down to just everyone in the group dealing damage. All the group members are just interacting with the monsters.
Because of that, multiplayer in D2 is not nearly as engaging as in some other games where the classes have different roles within the framework of a battle. When characters have to interact with each other in addition to attacking the enemy, the combat is much more enjoyable.

As far as I know the WD has some AI skills that mess with his enemies. As far as healing skills....I don't recall seeing anything like that....except for a barb skill that increases LL or Soul Harvest for the WD which gets you mana iirc.
I think the mentality of there being no "medic" characters is that Blizzard wants it so that everyone's essentially fighting in some way or another. Besides...they want the players to play an active role...not so much always staying behind and healing.

Seems smart seeing as most people don't enjoy playing the supporting roles.

I can maybe understand hanging back if you're a caster/missle character...but a dedicated healer....ehhhhh.

I agree about that.

has anyone here played TimeShift?
I love Diablo and hate sayin things like this, but come on...

A healer would be part of Necromancer's role, so that you could play solo and heal your minions, or heal your party instead. If they instill a dedicated healer character, they must be focusing a lot on teamplay, like guildwars or wow.
