4-8 person group

Hello everyone,
I am going to be making a 4-8 person group in which the members will start from level 1 and make their way to through the game. I want to base this almost like a Single Player game but with other people. IF you would like to join there are some rules. 1.) You may NOT trade items between your already existing chars. 2.) We decide things as a team and play together for fun not competition. 3.) You may NOT use these characters outside of our already made games. 4.) you must make a brand new acount to put your characters on. I may add onto these rules but for now that is how they stand. I will be the leader of the group and will be planing it. I would like to have one of each class if possible, but we can't all be of the same class or we will have some trouble, the team classed should be diverse. As for the type of class I dont care ex. you can be a summoner, or a bone necro, etc.
The decision to play on Hard Core or Soft Core will be made as a group. IF you want to join please leave info below. Remember you WANT to be part of this group so do follow the rules and respect all members.

2.)A.What character you want to be first choice
B.Second choice, you will be the second choice if the first is taken
3.)A.What type will your character be 1st choice

4.)If you want to play HC or SC
5.)Do you agree with the rules, if you have a problem say what should be added or removed and why, please do have a good reason, and not "I just don't like it." or "I just want that rule."

I will let all players apply not just 1337 but also new people. This is a good chance for experienced and new people to play as a team. Friday the first of Feb. is the last day I will accept applications and that weekend we will go over some things and then start playin. I understand that we are all not from the same timezone so we will get on when we can and play then. Again please follow the rules and don't play with people outside of the group or trade between your existing characters.

My dad is what most people would call, a noob. So he is not sure what he wants the char to be, all he know is that he wants a close up barb or pally and those are some main options.


Also Dlav123, you cannot have the items on your char you must find the items in the game.
If you would like to change your type of char from the expensive hdin to your second or third choice its ok

I would like to give it a try. Personally, I think HC is the way to go on this for several reasons. It will add a great element to the game. Better teamwork and camaraderie. It will help prevent any of the players from xfering outside gear, and almost assure that gameplay will always be together. The payoff would be a bigger achievement.

I would also add to the rules that accounts be shared just to provide transparency. Since you will be questing as a group, all would know which items were found or not further preventing anyone from deviating from the rules. I'm not trying to imply everyone will cheat, but with these rulles added, the temptation will be lessened.

I do feel getting everyone to play at the same time might be an issue, what to do when after a hour of gameplay, someone has to logoff right before you kill duriel?

Ok first to Pigeon Poop I would peronaly like to try Hc but if majority of the group would like Sc then we will do that. And when you are talking about sharing acounts do you mean that everyone start a whole new acc and share those? If so I like the Idea and maybe we will do that.

To Dlav123 I dont mind you doing the same thing I am doing and copying you have my permision. I just think it sad that you wont be joining us.

And to Icemanya you can be the Barb I think I will have my dad be the zealer, but it would be nice having a summoner in the team to act as a meat sheild. But ill leave the decision up to you. As for when we begin, I will keep the application up until friday and it will act as a First come, First serve type of thing. My dad will not be able to join until the weekend so he will be a lower level than the rest of us. I would like to know everyones timezones so that we can come to a sensible conclusion as for what time. Me and my dad are on GMT or -7.

Absolutley, you suggested we start from level 1 so why not start with a new acct. If they are shared, that would discourage anyone from "cheating" not that they would do that, I'm just sayin...
If we are all questing together, as a team, there would be no reason to steal each others gear and if one was unable to attend, someone else could use that account to keep the player within a few levels of the rest of us.
HC isn't really that difficult, especially if there are 4-8 of us playing. We will level faster and cover each other better. All for one and all that crap.
Either way, I think it will be fun.

My account name is RichardWeed and depending on the rest of the group, I will play anything except a Paladin. I'm also not the biggest fan of cookie-cutter builds but will use an effective character.

Also sorry I havnt been looking at this a whole lot im making a Summoner/Werebear druid that owns nm at lvl 42. The best tank I have ever created.

First, we are not going to die. We watch each others back. Second, there are areas that we know where death occurs, Duriel comes to mind. Knowing that prior to the fight, there are contingencies that can be in place. Also, as long as we can loot the corpse, we can start the character over and carry it to level. At least I'm willing to do that.
By the time you get to a respectable level, you will be able to control weather or not you die.
I'm telling you, it will be cool.

OK cool,
I was kind of hoping you would go Cold, but you can choose w/e you like more. Blizz you can start 6 lvls earlier and huge damage, but can hit less monsters. Orb you can start at 30 low damage but it can hit a lot of ppl.

Heres an updated list, Remember we will start at 12:00 and play until most are gone or need to go. Some ppl still need to reply and give the info that is N/A. Note: my dad Arogon3 will not be able to join us for a while as my mom lost his disc.

My first 2 sorcs died :(

On my third (yes 1,2,3rd) char now, name idontwanadie. 1st one killed by a stupid c**t in a pub game (private only from now on). 2nd one got killed by a combination of trying to do it stuff too quickly, blood raven and lag (the ***** shot me while i was running away - so brave)


Was going to go down the cold sorc route but as i have a couple of these alredy and my cold ones kept diein on me, decided to make a light sorc.

Currently bout lvl 13 or so (thx aeiro for helpin me with act 1). Gona start act 2 tonight - bout 10PM GMT (if anyone else will be on?)

It would be nice if we could have planned sessions instead of people playing randomly. I thought the whole point of this was to have a 4-8 player group complete the whole game together but I guess I was wrong.

It is the point of the group, but some ppl cant get on at the same times as others. If you would like I could make more times.

Next time wendsday, february 6 at 4pm my time we will get on again. I encourage all to come on and play. Some havent even started, some are in act 3 and most are in act 4.

Yeah, me too. I have actually had to work these last few days, but I did manage to get past Diablo with Aieros help. I hacked around in act 5 for a bit, did the first 2 quests, almost died. The fire arrow skellies just aren't real nice.

Anyway, schedule a time for the next gathering so more of us can play together.
It would probably be wise to do the ancients with both summoners so the skellies can tank.

Ok guys, I am sorry I havnt been able to get on over the past 2 days but school was stressful. Also I most likely wont be able to get on this weekend until sunday around 3pm.

Also Aeiro why did you go into a public game and get rushed you were supposed to work with us and stay in private.

Me and Reaper played a little today, then Aeiro showed and brought us some much needed meditation, considering we are both sorcs.

We whacked Diablo, just the 2 of us. It only took 20 minutes, several merc resurections, 1437 bottles of mana and a few near deaths from the red lightning fire hose breath. I imagine it would have been amusing to watch, but I think I can speak for the both of us and say it was terrifying. I know I broke a sweat.

I finally made it to lvl 28, got my enchant up a bit more, but, I wonder, do we even have any melee fighters any longer? I ask, because, by getting enchant higher, I'm sacrificing points into Fireball. It seems I only enchant the mercs.

There is a mule account, I have given the acct and pass to all that I have quested with. There isn't much on it, but I recommend you all use it frequently. If you don't xfer and you die, we can recover your equipped gear, but not the items in your stash. If you don't have the account/pass, drop me a PM. Also, if you see an item that another player might be able to use, pick it up and xfer it.
