Pierce is great if you are using javelins, expecially with the use of a maxed out lightning fury, as far as the bows, i wouldnt think so cause as you said it just passes threw and unless somone is behind your target, its useless.

pierce is usefull against summons but you should only need 1 point in it and let +skills increase the %. Don't max the dodge skills, only put enough points in them with +skills to get 50%dodge/60%avoid/50%evade.

All the dodge skills have nasty diminishing returns at near max lvls. I agree with the last post. That'll be plenty.

I got 58/68/58 (from down to up in the skill tree)

From my experience 5 hard points in each of the dodge skills is quite good. This should get you to 50% each without too many +skill items.

You won`t need Pierce in PvP. It`s only great in PvM, after my observations...

Also, i`ve seen most places that there is no need to max either of the three, since they have huge diminishing returns. 5 Hard pts in all three is enough..

The only reason to have Pierce in PvP is to combat minion stacking. Considering that 1 point in the skill and a Razortail should get you close to 100% anyway, more than one point is really worthless.

For PvM, 100% is necessary (and that means using a Razor).

yea if you get 100% with or without razor, would be great for minion based players. other then those, its a worthless skill in pvp

what ive found is the combination of pierce and guided arrow (at least in previous patches) created a deadly combination. The arrow pierces through them and turns and goes back through them... thus hitting them multiple times with 1 arrow. Great for bosses :D
